I’ve written for years. Mostly I fit my activity into the nooks and crannies of my workday life first as a professor and then as a consultant. Occasionally I did contract work as a writer. Regardless of my situation, I wrote day in and day out.
The War Years came about when my sister went through a difficult time. Her husband spiraled into the Alzheimer’s darkness . Since I’m thirteen years older, she was ignorant of many family happenings that took place before she came along. Fairly regularly over a period of many months I wrote about them. They are arranged here rougly sequentially, beginning with #1 “Milking the Cow,” one of my earliest memories.
Reflections is an eclectic, ragbag category. Into it I’m stuffing items written over the years. Some of them were published; most were not. There’s neither rhyme nor reason for the subject matter or the order in which they appear.
I include Bumperstickers because they give me joy.
By far the bulk of my time and energy as a writer have gone into stories set in The Land of Otherwhere. The first three volumes of The Swordthane Saga have seen the light of day, Volume four is now in production. The last two volumes shold come out in the next few months. Then I’ll go on to The Chronicles of the Seven.
I hope you enjoy your visit.
